I have some sayings that float in my mind. From time to time they surface and make me smile. I thought this would be a good place to start This Little House.
I noticed my 4 year old had quite the collection of toys strewn across our family room and feeling she needed to start taking on more responsibility with cleaning up, I asked her if she would please start to clean up the toys she has out before going on to the next activity. Suddenly all her bouncing energy was zapped away and she wearily replied, "sigh, I feel like I'm in the hot desert and I'm a slave."
My 5 year old: "Mommy, what does your shirt say?"
Mommy: "Old Navy"
My 5 year old: "OLD LADY?!!!"
hubby: "Everyone receives as much dessert tonight as they have eaten vegetables"
My 5 year old: Hands raised, "THAT'S INSANE, INSANE, I TELL YOU!!!"
